Assistant General Manager at The Courtyard by Marriott Solana Beach
In 2009, I was hired as a Front Desk Associate with Pinnacle Hotels and was promoted to Front Desk Supervisor and then Front Desk Manager. In 2014, I was given the opportunity to be in San Diego at the Comfort Inn & Suites as a Front Office Manager. After being there for almost 2 years, I applied for my current position, as the Assistant General Manager for the Courtyard by Marriott in Solana Beach.
Q: What is your favorite thing about working at your hotel?
Abdias: My favorite aspect of working at the Courtyard is the great team we have.
Q: What is your best piece of advice for a new associate?
Abdias: Do your absolute best. Always give it 100% because someone will notice it. Whether it be our guests that will write a positive review, or a Supervisor or Manager that will see your efforts and recognize you.
Q: What has been the most rewarding part of working for Pinnacle Hotels?
Abdias: One of the most rewarding parts of working for Pinnacle Hotels is the growth and opportunities.
Q: What are your hobbies outside of work?
Abdias: I like hanging out with friends and visiting local breweries. I also like hiking with my dog and visiting new places.
